Mourvèdre is a red wine grape variety grown in many regions around the world including the Rhône and Provence regions of France, the Valencia and Jumilla and Yecla denominaciones de origen of Spain.
Benefiting from a soft press, it exhibits very low committed tannin. Starting with a very Rhone style mineral bouquet then opens with aromas of subtle smoke, cassis, and wisps of juniper, sage, and parsley. Upon first sip, you will note the creamy and buttery mouthfeel and the sense of weight without being heavy. A light dusty cocoa and pepper spice finish off the sip.
