Always Being, Always Becoming Collection

As you hopefully know by now, we have acquired a beautiful property in Northern California’s stunning Amador County! This new home for Teneral Cellars brings with it a mature vineyard with over 21 grape varietals produced on site and an olive oil line produced here as well. Our goal has always been to gather our community around a shared purpose, creating a more equitable and inclusive world for all women and those marginalized. Now, in our new home we have a dedicated space to do just that. Not only does Wilderotter Vineyard have stunning vineyards that produce award winning wines, it also has a state-of-the-art winery, tasting room and five-star luxury Inn.

We named this collection Always Being, Always Becoming because it represents new beginnings and the dragonfly's transformation out of its cast, a time of extreme vulnerability. Within a few days it spreads its wings and flys with amazing power and strength.. We have the same power within us to transform. This collection represents the commitment we make to be a better version of ourselves each day, and to celebrate the constant evolution and transformation that happens in our lives. As you enjoy this collection take a moment to recognize the transformations you have made and how far you have come in your journey.

Here's what you can expect from this release:

The 2022 Estate Sauvignon Blanc, which has been touted as the “Margarita of the Foothills.” The last vintage won double-gold and best in class at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. This year’s edition brings big zested flavors of lemons, limes, and a hint of grapefruit that finishes with that tart yet elegant creaminess of lemon curd.

Also in this release is the 2021 Russian River Chardonnay (a famed territory because of the numerous award winning Chardonnay bottles that hail from here). The valley is unique because of its diverse soils, a mix of sandstone, sedimentary rock, loam, and gravel. This range of soil influences the taste of each winery's Chardonnay wine. For example, Chardonnays from wineries located near the coast tend to be floral, fruity, and acidic while inland Chardonnays are more robust, with notes of cream and honey. The valley has pioneered the slow-fermentation philosophy, which results in fuller and richer flavors. This slow fermentation process is done through careful temperature control and a prolonged process to create a beautiful, layered taste that blasts the palate with every sip.

Rounding out this release is a beautiful 2020 Estate Rhone GSM (Grenache, Syrah and Mourvédre) from our estate in Amador County. This classic born in the Chateauneuf region of the Rhone Valley in France is created by blending the "trinity" of varietals, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvédre. The trinity delivers a powerful combination of soft yet spicy nuances from Grenache, richness, balance, and boldness from Syrah, and a bit of smoke and creamy fruit from the Mourvédre. All three of these wines are exceptional and warrant buying multiple bottles to enjoy again and again over time or to delight others with a remarkable gift.

We welcome you to our new home and hope we can share many of the other exciting varietals produced here on your visit!
