You can and should drink wine however you enjoy wine. You do not have to slurp. While it is not a requirement for tasting there is a very good reason why wine tasters will slurp when they taste wine. 

When you put the wine in your mouth and you pull air in at the same time, what that is doing is pulling all those flavors into your mouth and actually up into your olfactory bulb. It pulls all the flavors up into your nose, because when you are tasting you are smelling at the same time. So, by pulling that air in you are smelling and tasting simultaneously and it just tastes that much better.
