The Call to be RUTHLESS

On June 24th of this year, our democracy as we knew it, changed remarkably. For the first time since 1973, our fundamental right to control our own bodies was taken away. As we collectively overcame the initial shock, many of us looked for what could be done locally and in our communities to ensure women still have access to reproductive health care, including life saving care. In the weeks that followed we heard many stories of women (and their physicians) waiting to be rushed into emergency surgery once the court responded with its approval of their medically necessary abortions. Not all of the women survived while waiting for those decisions.

In the wake of this horrendous Supreme Court decision and in the lead-up to midterm elections, the moment has come for women to make our dissent known. We must be RUTHLESS in our fight for fundamental rights. We must demand that our lives are safe, our bodies are respected, our work is paid for, our families are supported, and our government represents us, the majority.

 At Teneral Cellars, we are calling out to our community to take up the torch and fight for an equitable future. Through our latest campaign, we’re working to raise awareness on the issues of abortion rights, gun control, wage equity, and voting rights - all issues that fundamentally impact our lives and livelihoods. In addition to educating on the issues and encouraging women to take action, Teneral Cellars is donating 10% of profits from the RUTHLESS collection to organizations that are working to secure gender and racial equality - including Supermajority and the National Network for Abortion Funds.

We must take a strong stance in this critical moment in time. We cannot simply sit on the sidelines, waiting for change to happen. The only way we can make an impact, empower women, and shift the industry is to speak out and stand up. It will take each and every one of us.

Super Majority is fighting to make the majority rules a reality for all women through education, and registration of voters across the country. The National Network of Abortion Funds is working to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access, whether it be transportation, childcare, or travel expenses. Blocking abortion access is a form of oppression and violence, and creates more barriers for women to lead a successful and prosperous life, both emotionally and socioeconomically.
